Brad Richardson will be in and Brian Boyle will be out when the Kings face the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night at Staples Center.

Boyle is scoreless with a minus-4 plus/minus rating in three games, while Richardson played in one game and had zeroes across the board.

Richardson, acquired by the Kings from Colorado for a second-round draft pick, will center the fourth line for Raitis Ivanans and Derek Armstrong.

‘He’s been out for a while. It’s his old team. Maybe that adds a little bit to it,’ Coach Terry Murray said after the Kings practiced Sunday at El Segundo. ‘Also, I need a little bit better play from other people in a couple situations in that role. So there’s a change for that reason also.’
