Many considered the Lakers NBA title favorites because Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol would be paired this season.
Now, the concerns here about how well Phil Jackson and the Lakers will meld them are getting national attention.
The discussion is taking away from the concerns over Lamar Odom's slow start.
It's two games into the exhibition season -- time to panic?

Yea the lakers need to put in lamar odom he is able to play any position in the league he is quick know how to handle the ball and he is a pretty good play maker. Odom in most games passes the ball he does not shoot the ball he is mostly a passer than a shooter. When Bryant was out in 2006 Odom was the carrier of the team, he made up to 20 shots per game as i remember. What people know is that Odom is always lagging it in some quarter until the team really needs him i guess what im trying to say he never plays all four quarter hard.

Lets give up on lamar he dosn't have the killer instinct he's wishy washy its been too long to many expections and none fullfilled.Lets be real he's shown signs of brillance but thats it, im tired of saying damm he's gonna be good one day.Its to late and he's to old to change.Lamar is just too lazy and thats not going to change.Being on the court everyday giving a 100 percent every day every game every minute can't be tought either its in you or its not.Experiment over move on find someone else

here are the keys to winning the championship - follow these directions:
Pau needs to bulk up about 10 pounds, needs to drive from 12 more - points or fouls
Bynum needs to score at least 12-15 points per game average, 12 rebounds pr gm.
kobe does it all, BUT kobe absolutely can cause more fouls, once again more fouls!
Lamar either defines himself as consistent with 15 more points per game & no sillys errors.
Famar needs to realize he is the new tony parker, the new nash, the ball commander.
Sashas energy is too confusing for players, he needs to look at Nash's control and demeanor towards his other 4 players on the court. Keep his mind in the game.
vladimir continues to improve on a solid game, but he needs someone to kick his ass into boxing out more in the paint, lazy?
Fisher needs to know its no time to think your game is something of the past, we need to see 15-20 points average, maybe less here and there. Otherwise, it tells us he is over the hill and just a ball passer. We need points, fouls, and assists!
Luke Walton must, let me say this again MUST get in the paint and score or pass, get in the paint work on that ball control get in the paint or 12 ft and score.
Sun Yue has great game in china, but who doesn't? If the chinese do anything great its called copy well, do well, and make it automatic - We need AUTO scoring and that chinese dragon aggressiveness - Auto baskets all night and assists.
Other players must prove more while pre-season.
Thats the wrap from the millionairecafe!
Lakers need to own the Paint every game!

Ok this is how it is this comments are whack you all need to go comment on volleyball or something else cause you definetely know nothing about the Lakers! The solid starters has got to be (PG) Derek Fisher, (SG)-(MVP) Kobe Bryant, (SF) Lamar Odom (PF) Pau Gasol, (C) Andrew Bynum cause with the twin towers down in the paint their opponents inside game will be shut down! So that means if Odom and our guards contest the shot's and play solid defense they have to beat us by contested mid-range jumpers and three point jumpers! Which really the best team from outside that ark would have to be the Detroit Pistons with a 45% average this past season and out of the rest of the team's on an average its about 30%.....
You know Kobe is going play his game spread the ball but take over when he needs to! And Fisher will get his 12 and Odom could give you his 10 or he could blow up and give you 20 you never know with him he has to work on being consistent! And for the twin towers down low they will grab enough boards to take care of business and get around 10 to 15 each! As for the rest of the team its all about being a solid role player and they know who they Sasha Vujachic is key in making big shot's and to give our starters some rest and Radmonvic can handle the ball well to be so tall and he is also a good shooter but I believe if we do the key things I have mention we will bring home another championship! Thank you C to the P

I don't believe its time to panic in LA. We have a bunch of talent on the team that have just played another season in the triangle offense. As far as Lamar Odem is concerned he seems to only thrive when the pressure is off him, when there are more scorers on the court. So with Bynum coming back to complete the twin towers we shold be alot more productive offensivly, putting Lamar in a seemingly perfect situation. If that is not the case than we need to trade for Shawn Marion asuming the heat will take Lamar back. Also the two headed monster can work and has work with Ralph Sampson and Akeem down in Hoston in the 80's. I'm sure Phil Jackson has already gone over the tapes with the big men. It's just a matter of time till we see another banner go up in LA.
