Joe Buck your favorite play-by-play guy? Vote in our poll

October 22, 2008 |  5:40 pm

Fox's Joe Buck is calling the action tonight in Game 1 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Philadelphia Phillies.

But did you know that he has pitched a late-night weekly talk show to Fox. His sidekick would be Abebe, an Ethiopian native, who, as Buck told USA Today's Michael Hiestand a few weeks ago, would be "Paul Shaffer to my Joan Rivers."

Abebe is a New York City cab driver and "The Joe Buck Show" would take place in the cab. Well, it's different. I wonder if Joe Buck is a fan of Discovery Channel's "Cash Cab."

Buck, who has won six Emmys, is about to get to the action and it reminds me to remind you all to vote in Steve Springer's poll for your favorite and least favorite play-by-play announcers (if you haven't already).

And, yes, Buck is on the lists. Click here to vote now.
