With Monday’s stock market leap temporarily easing financial concerns and no real political news to draw on, the ‘Tonight Show’’s Jay Leno turned to one of his favorite subjects last night in his monologue: sports.

Here’s an excerpt:

A voter registration probe has discovered that several members of the Dallas Cowboys were falsely registered to vote in the state of Nevada. Not only that, the probe also found that the Detroit Lions were falsely registered to play professional football in the state of Michigan. Speaking of bad teams, Oakland Raiders lost again this past weekend. Let me ask you something, you ever notice when the Raiders are losing, their fans who dress up aren’t as scary as they used to be? Did you notice? Remember how they used to look like Mad Max at the Thunderdome? Now they look like fat little trick-or-treaters.
