Galaxy grabs the lead
The Galaxy has taken the lead at the Home Depot Center and it's MLS playoff hopes are not dead yet.
Eddie Lewis swung a free kick in from the right. Colorado Rapids goalkeeper Preston Burpo failed to get to the ball and former Galaxy player Ugo Ihemelu watched it bounce off him and into the net.
The own goal has given the Galaxy a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes remaining in a must-win game for both teams.
