Emmanuel Moody back on the field for Florida

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow hands the ball to Emmanuel Moody as offensive lineman Phil Trautwein blocks.

Emmanuel Moody is the former USC running back who couldn't stand up to all the competition at running back, deciding that a running back in college needs to carry the ball more than occasionally in order to actually be, you know, a running back.

So he transferred to Florida, sat out the required year and returned this season as one of the Gators' go-to backs.

He was injured early, but now he should be back in the lineup for this week's game against Kentucky.

If he had remained at USC, he would be at least in the top five running backs by now.
