Elgin Baylor -- an unappreciated superstar

Jesse Owens. Jackie Robinson. Bill Russell. Jim Brown. Elgin Baylor. Oscar Robertson. Muhammad Ali.

ESPN's Bill Simmons puts the former Lakers forward who was dimissed this week from his longtime duties as a Clippers executive among that exclusive crowd.

I can't disagree with him. I don't remember much about Baylor as a player. But I talked to Chick Hearn about him plenty of times. And Chick would have had him on the list. That's good enough for me.
