Ducks send Bobby Ryan to AHL affiliate

October 3, 2008 | 11:31 am

Ducks GM Brian Burke sent prized prospect right wing Bobby Ryan to the team's AHL affiliate in Iowa today. And that puts the team under the salary cap.

Ryan has yet to break out and prove he can play well consistently in the NHL and was the subject of trade talks over the last few weeks. Times staff writer Dan Arritt will have more in a bit, both on this blog and later on our website.
