Donovan tries to rescue Galaxy

Donovan_300The moon is rising over the Home Depot Center just as the sun is setting on the Galaxy's MLS season.

The Galaxy is playing the Colorado Rapids at the moment and the score is tied, 1-1, with a half-hour left to play.

On the sideline, Landon Donovan is warming up.

Donovan played the full 90 minutes in Washington, D.C., on Saturday as the U.S. rolled over Cuba, 6-1.

Now amid a huge cheer, Donovan is entering the game. He just flew back into town this morning.

The Galaxy's season rides on this gamble. It has to win the game. So does Colorado.

We will return as developments warrant.
