Cubs: On cusp of heartbreak against Dodgers?

October 3, 2008 | 12:44 pm

That's the feeling in Chicago entering Saturday's Game 3, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The Tribune's Paul Sullivan even uses the "choke" word for how the Cubs are performing against the Dodgers.

Hard to argue from the Cubs' Game 2 performance.

Tribune columnist Mike Downey says the Cubs are stuck on Major League Baseball's bridge to nowhere. Can you see Russia from there?

Will it be 100 years-plus without a World Series for Chicago's North Side team?

South Side has little to cheer today, either. Even Jimbo's Lounge is closing.

Sun-Times calls Cubs "embarrassing".

And poor Kosuke Fukudome -- heckled at O'Hare.
