Counting crows

Crawford_300Tuned in to the Flames-Canucks game early in the first period tonight on CBC Sports and a familiar voice drifted into my living room.

None other than former Kings coach Marc Crawford (pictured at right).

He was providing color commentary not only on another one of his former teams (Vancouver), but also on one of his players from last season, the Flames' Michael Cammalleri, who took center stage for a moment.

One of Crawford's broadcast partners got in a funny line when the camera focused on Cammalleri on the bench, saying: "It's Mike Cammalleri in our Subway bio tonight. He scored 10 goals in his first 10 games with L.A. last season. Looked like he was on his way to 50 but suffered a rib-cage injury and finished with 19. That's one of the reasons Marc Crawford is in the broadcast booth."

Wish I could have seen the expression on Crawford's face.
