Conflict of interests

Tough economy or a tough choice?

Just a few miles south of Chavez Ravine, where the Dodgers were playing the Phillies in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series, the Kings played their first home game of the young NHL season.

The warmups for their game against the Sharks were witnessed by a throng of dozens. Fans steadily filed into Staples Center as gametime drew near, but there were still plenty of good seats available.

Those who chose hockey over baseball were treated to a loud pregame ceremony that featured public address announcer David Courtney introducing the training staff, players, and new Coach Terry Murphy.

Only problem is that the coach's name is Terry Murray.

Oops.

Oh, and who would have bet that the first fight of the evening would occur in the baseball game and not the hockey game??!!
