Big finish for long shots

October 4, 2008 |  7:38 pm

Three top-line winners in 10 races but prices were fairly short to win.

A couple of nice long shots picked by the computer in the last two races of the day paid quite well.  In the ninth, La Tee went off at 7-1 and paid $8.60 to place.  Then in the 10th, the computer’s top choice was morning line odds of 15-1, but drifted all the way up to 24-1 before finishing second to pay $17.40 place money.

On the day, the computer top choice finished first or second in seven out of 10 races.
