Angels today: Red Sox still have champagne on ice

3:07 PM, October 6, 2008

Jonathan Papelbon Jered Weaver

Can you tell who won based on these photos from late in Game 3?

There wasn't much time last night for the Boston papers to write about the Red Sox' 12th-inning loss to the Angels because the game ended so late, but the Globe's Bob Ryan still talks a good game.

It's up to the Red Sox' John Lester to pop the corks tonight.

If Lester can't finish, Jonathan Papelbon might not be around to save him.

And someone in Boston besides David Ortiz is enjoying Manny Ramirez in the playoffs.

Speaking of the Dodgers, it surely didn't come as a surprise to any of their fans that J.D. Drew wasn't in the Red Sox lineup last night.
