What Dodgers fans need to know today about Cubs

September 30, 2008 |  1:01 pm

Chicago Cubs baseball fans celebrate during a post-season rally in Daley Plaza.

There was a big rally -- OK, a couple thousand people -- in downtown Chicago today to cheer on the Cubs, who are starting the playoffs tomorrow at Wrigley Field against the Dodgers.

Even Harry Caray was there.

Aren't we musical today? Here are two more Cubs tributes, from Eddie Vedder and the late Steve Goodman.

Of course, two songs won't be enough to overcome the Cubs' tradition of losing -- 100 years of it.

They could use a good series from Aramis Ramirez.

Oh yeah, and Alfonso Soriano and Derrek Lee.

And, of course, there's the tired old bet between mayors, Richie Daley and Antonio Villaraigosa. Deep dish pizza vs. a tour of Paris Hilton's home? Nope, this one actually is for a good cause.
