First things first: Roger Clemens is heartbroken that he wasn’t included in the Yankees celebration, the New York Post reported in today’s editions. He sat at home in Texas and watched the pregame ceremony, hoping for a mention because he did help win two World Series titles for the team. Nope. Not a word on his greatness. But Joe Torre, who did even more for the Yankees, wasn’t mentioned either. And yet we don’t hear details about him being saddened and clutching his wife’s hand as he watched the celebration. No, Joe is still in baseball, likely headed to the playoffs (magic number is 3).

No magic in Detroit: Matt Millen, in a story first reported by Fox Sports early this morning, is out as Detroit Lions president. Fans are rejoicing. No matter what Millen tried to do to help his team, it just didn’t work. But what will happen to the lively website started by the Lions fans to get rid of Millen? The site is rejoicing, that’s what.

Fired yet? Poor Lane Kiffin. Nearly every radio sports talk show is still talking about his precarious position as head coach of the Oakland Raiders. But as Marshall Faulk told Dan Patrick this morning, Kiffin was given a no-win job.

From no-win to all-win: Lance Armstrong is making it official tonight. He is back. He was the face of the Tour de France for so long (a seven-time champion) and will be again.
