College football report: UCLA, USC

UCLA is inviting in the enemy and USC’s Taylor Mays, among other Trojans, is adjusting to life on the road. That’s this morning’s early report on local college football.

UCLA says it is trying to increase the size of crowds (read: is out to make the school a buck) by urging Fresno State football fans toward the Rose Bowl on Saturday with a quarter-page advertisement in the Fresno Bee this week. Meanwhile, over at USC, the Trojans will be practicing later this morning before leaving for Corvallis, Ore., and a Thursday night game against the Beavers.
