Kiffin will fire back at Al Davis

Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis This is getting really good.

So Al Davis is holding a news conference in less than an hour to explain why he fired Lane Kiffin "for cause."

And now Kiffin plans to fire back with a news conference of his own on Wednesday.

Could life be any better for reporters covering the Raiders? This stuff is liquid gold.

The NFL Network is reporting that offensive line coach Tom Cable will replace Kiffin, but at this point that's an afterthought. I'm waiting to hear what really goes on behind that silver-and-black curtain.

If Kiffin's lawyers don't muzzle him first, that is.
