Carson Palmer: "I'm playing"
With his team already circling the drain, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer says he's going to grit his way through his elbow soreness and play Sunday at Dallas. Ryan Fitzpatrick started in his place in Sunday's 20-12 loss to Cleveland, finishing with one touchdown, three interceptions and a fumble.
"I've already made up my mind I'm playing," Palmer told reporters Monday, a day after his inflamed throwing elbow ended his streak of 51 consecutive starts. "I'm going to do what I can in practice and do what they let me do, but I'm 100% expecting to play going into this game and planning on playing. I'll probably be limited in practice, but do what I can."
The Bengals, the AFC's only 0-4 team, were once a scoring machine. Now, they're among the NFL's five worst teams in points production. Also in that group are Indianapolis and New England. Unbelievable.
