State rests

The state rested its rebuttal case in People v. Phil Spector at 2:14 pm. this afternoon. The announcement was made by Deputy Dist. Atty. Alan Jackson. But don’t expect a quick ending. The case immediately turned to plans by Spector's attorneys to refute testimony prosecutors presented over the past few weeks. The prosecution's last round, which was aimed at undermining the defense case, is known as rebuttal, hence the name of the defense phase that will supplant it: surrebuttal. Surrebuttal cannot concern wholly new subjects, but must zero in on attacking rebuttal testimony.

Four women were lined up outside the Los Angeles courtroom ready to testify for the defense. In the lead was Punkin Pie Laughlin, the entrepreneur who earlier claimed that her good friend Lana Clarkson was deeply depressed before her death.

The prosecution began presenting evidence April 30.

edOh ! my : As bias as my doggy and I are, Dr John Andrews the neuropathologist was the best expert i have ever observed on any court . He taught everyone about the nervous, muscular, brain, spinal cord , heart and lungs and it interrelates with gunshot. I hope the transaction and the blood/fluid in the lungs issue are put to rest, but then again Dr. Baden can refute his conclusions, but it will have to be at the level of Dr. Andrews. Daniel Stark became testy with Jackson and did not understand the court system rules. The time entries vs recording vs wrist watches vs forms became confusing. The two items left out were the slipping on the rug and the two hospital options the medics could travel to, maybe this had something to do with the two leaving times. What ever Lana did have alcohol in her system, but then again maybe someone gave her a drink to help with the pain, as they waited for the medics ? I just wondered how he was located, and if his superiors instructed him to cooperate with the investigator concerning divulging information of a former patient. Oh ! my Tenara Henson at the birthday party (350) proclaimed that Lana asked her " WHERE IS THE PIE " and of Lana's demeanor. which could be interpreted as joyful excitement or heartbreak , I'm sure Dr. Pie will pick the latter, but again, later when Tenara was leaving early and discussed with Dr. Pie on a ride home, Dr. Pie told her she would leave with Lana. One item not mention was the noise level of the party or if there was a band playing or if there was a band. Tenara mentioned being close to the stage . The trial has taken us from Pasadena, Ca. out beyond our solar system possibly to the Draco system and now returning home. Yes back to the limo driver and the physical evidence and the police.
