Defense witness says Clarkson despondent

Punkin Laughlin, who claims to have been Lana Clarkson's best friend, testified that Clarkson told her, "I don't want to live anymore" about a week before her death. The defense called Laughlin to support its argument that Clarkson was despondent about her faltering acting career and financial problems, which led her to commit suicide. Laughlin now faces cross-examination by prosecutors.

Does any one find Punkin Pie credible? My goodness, trying to get a straight answer from this "friend" was long drawn out and painful.

If Lana was despondent it was because she knew Punkin Pie.

Her testimony was the worst acting job I've ever seen: she couldn't keep her story straight, goofed up and said "the day of the murder", (which was pretty odd, considering she's trying to convince everyone it was a suicide), kept saying she couldn't remember the most basic things, including was Mr. Rosen had said to her in the hall not 15 minutes earlier. Mr. Rosen sat there making hand gestures to shut her up or allow her to answer the questions - coaching the witness is okay??? Rosen looked like he was about to have a conniption fit towards the end of the day when Mr. Jackson tore her apart on the cross examination.

If this is the defenses "star" witness, the prison tailors better be making a wee little suit for Phil.

And the pathetic thing is that this woman who claims to be a friend of Lana's will probably cash in on her death, but no amount of money in the world will ever, ever make her feel clean again. You just can't wash off that kind of slime.

Punkin Pie is an extremely troubled and forgetful person. She is not credible and I am sure the jury will disregard her testimony. I really believe that Phil Spector should request some of his defense money back.. Rosen was laughable in his attempts to "lead" Punkin Pie to what he wanted her to say.... I wonder who they will drag in next....

You talk to your best friend 20 times a day and then after she makes a suicidal call to you for help you don't talk to her for three days....We need to dump The Pie.
