Judge orders more on nail

Deputy Dist. Atty. Alan Jackson argued that the two items the defense turned over - a blood-stained post-it note, and a minute fuzzy piece of thread - did not appear to be the object witnesses described defense criminalist Henry Lee retrieving during his post-murder sweep of the crime scene.
“I do know that Dr. Lee will testify that he collected these two items, and only these two items,” defense attorney Christopher Plourd told Judge Larry Paul Fidler. Lee is on a trip to China and scheduled to return next week. Fidler indicated he would wait until Lee testifies, possibly next week, to make a decision. He ordered the defense to have Lee bring his investigative notes to court when he testifies. The prosecution is trying to show the defense hid evidence, possibly a broken fingernail that could show actress Lana Clarkson died in a struggle. The defense says she shot herself in an "accidental suicide".
