'The Hills': Audrina is filming sixth season, new solo reality show

Audrina-AG0_6382 There are some things Audrina Patridge just can’t refuse: her bad-boy ex Justin Bobby and a hefty paycheck for appearing on “The Hills.”

Despite reports that Audrina was departing the MTV reality show after its fifth season, a network spokesperson has confirmed to People that the pint-sized brunette will return to “The Hills” yet again. Audrina will join Kristin Cavallari, Justin Brescia, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt for the sixth season of “The Hills,” which begins filming new episodes next year, the magazine reports.

But Audrina will be doing reality show double duty – next week, she’ll begin filming a new show for Mark Burnett Productions that will trail both her personal and professional lives.

“It’s really about me and my family and everything that you see in the press and just really opening up,” she told Elle magazine backstage last week at the after-show for “The Hills” finale. “It’s going to be cameras following me, not set up. No lighting. It’s going to be, like, totally different.”

The question is: How will Audrina’s new venture differ from her role on “The Hills”? During the show’s fifth season, Audrina’s sole purpose was to pine over J.B. in the kitchen of her Hollywood Hills home, trying to convince both her friends and herself that she was really over her ex. Will the new show feature new tattooed skater boyfriends? Will we get to see any of the drama behind her house being burgled? Here’s to hoping the new show at least shows us more than repetitive, forced reunions with Justin Bobby.

So, will you watch both "The Hills" and Audrina's new reality show? Chime in below in the comments section.

'The Hills': Kristin and Justin Bobby set the record straight on their 'romantic' relationship

Justin-kristin-AG0_6478 Well, who'da thunk it? After only one season as the star of "The Hills," Kristin Cavallari has retired her wild antics and reined in resident bad boy Justin Bobby. The show's fifth season ended Tuesday night as the unlikely pair decided to give being boyfriend and girlfriend a shot.

During the waning hours of summer in Kristin's Malibu beach rental, they kissed on the deck repeatedly. Justin even threw his version of a letterman jacket -- his leather biker jacket -- over Kristin's shoulders as the sun set.

"I can't -- for some reason -- let this go," Justin admitted. "What's funny is that my last conversation with Audrina, she told me I was gonna end up a lonely old man if I don't go after basically what I believe in, and I believe in this. I wanna have fun with you. I wanna do things with you. I wanna laugh with you."

I was actually almost kind of moved. Had the two who were the most jaded about love reluctantly fallen into it?

Of course not. Things are never as they seem on "The Hills."

Only moments after the end credits rolled, MTV aired a live after-show special from New York City. The program's hosts declared that Justin Bobby and Kristin would appear for the first time ever as an official couple.

'The Hills': What happens in Vegas ends up on national television

The HillsThe line between what's real and what's fake on "The Hills" has really begun to blur. Are Justin Bobby and Kristin truly into each other?

I've become completely perplexed by their relationship. It can't be legitimate, right? It seems so fake! Just last week, Kristin was going after her ex, Brody, until he shot her down and got back together with Jayde. So maybe Kristin gets angry and wants to spite him by getting together with JB, who she knows is totally obsessed with her, though he'd never admit it.

Still, she opts to head off on a "girls trip" to Vegas with Stacie. By the way, were we honestly meant to believe that Kristin was really even driving her BMW? I saw both of her hands off the steering wheel for nearly the entire scene that the girls were approaching the Strip.

After they arrive, they begin unpacking, and Stacie holds up one miniature sequined top after the next.

"Why does everything I own look like baby clothes?" Stacie muses. I wasn't aware babies dress like strippers.

But later, Kristin emerges onto the balcony of the club at the Palms hotel -- where, shocker, she's standing in a perfectly lit spot overlooking all of Vegas -- and leaves Justin this uncharacteristically needy voice mail about how she "should be having the time of [her] life" but Justin's name keeps "popping up" in her head. At first, I chalked things up to alcohol -- and didn't put it out of the question that no one was on the other end of the call. (Remember when Lauren admitted that Spencer had never actually called her to apologize about the sex tape rumor last season -- no one was on the other end of the line? Sketchy.)

But then things get interesting at the strip club, where I was surprised at how much MTV allowed on the episode. Things get pretty racy in Sin City when Stacie, Kristin and JB attend a classy gentleman's establishment complete with Lucite heels. First, the two girls share a quick kiss on the lips that seems produced only for show. Then, a stripper whips her top off and shimmies right up in Kristin's face as she appears mortified, laughing hysterically. Kristin again appears drunk and needy, actually engaging in PDA with Justin left and right and oscillating between kissing Stacie on the lips and Justin on the lips.

And when they wake up the next morning in bed together, hung over, they are looking at one another as though they really like one another. Kristin seems really happy Justin showed up, and Justin still seems to be reveling in the fact that he may have finally scored such a cute girl.

I'm so confused. During the beginning of the season, this whole thing seemed like a complete showmance. And it probably is -- it's rumored that Kristin is now seeing Tal Cooperman, another of Audrina's exes. Still, sometimes even my over-skeptical self believes that against all odds, I'm actually seeing a spark between the two.

Speaking of bizarre relationships, it's unfortunate that Spencer's (only?) friend Charlie has taken on a bigger role this season. His mustache is totally creepy, he abbreviates, and he doesn't seem like the right dude to be giving baby advice. Nonetheless, he and Spencer randomly meet at the carwash to discuss Heidi's secret evil plan to get knocked up.

"You can look it up on YouTube, post-sex baby-making acrobatics," Charlie advises Spencer. "She probably sleeps with two pillows under her and a triangle wedge."

Charlie then suggests Spencer take Heidi out for "sushe" at Katsuya to see if she'll drink alcohol or eat mercury-laden fish. She doesn't, which throws Spencer into a frenzy. Although I have to admit that the whole thought that Heidi would try to get preggo behind Spencer's back is pretty preposterous, what's very believable is how terrified Spencer is of spawning offspring in his mid-20s.

I can't believe next week is already the season finale! Sad. What did you think of Justin and Kristin's Vegas rendezvous? Are they going to opt to really be together on the season finale? And is there any remote chance that Heidi could actually be pregnant? Chime in in the comments section below.

'The Hills': Kristin wins with Jayde, loses with Brody

090826_MPTurin_TheHills_0818 Is there anyone out there who's not scared of Kristin Cavallari? The girl may be a pint-sized blond, but frankly, she's terrifying.

"There's no way you could win a fight with her," my girlfriends and I agreed while watching this week's episode. And I'm really not sure there is. Kristin has this intimidation factor and way of belittling people that's utterly frightening. She's not afraid to go for the jugular, tackling the issues she knows will most deeply hurt someone.

That's why it was baffling to me that Jayde even invited Kristin to meet with her. What could she think it would accomplish -- other than having her already incredibly low sense of self-worth further depleted by Kristin?

From the instant Kristin walked into the restaurant, she was ready to do battle. Jayde sat awaiting her at the table with jet-black hair and pale skin that made her resemble Elvira. Why is this chick constantly wearing chokers? Ew.

"What's going on?" Kristin began, making it clear she found the entire situation a waste of her time. Jayde stumbled, trying to articulate why she wanted to meet with Kristin -- to figure out what was going on, she explained.

Kristin immediately began tossing out zingers.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt pitch their own reality series beyond 'The Hills'

Are Heidi and Spencer moving on from "The Hills"?

While promoting their new book "How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture," Speidi said they're trying to sell a reality show about their tantalizing lives to a handful of networks.

On "The Hills," Heidi told the Associated Press, viewers "don't get to see [our] everyday lives and what [we] do." But don't worry, even if the pair land a new show, they're not ready to depart "The Hills" just yet.

Not surprisingly, they said their hope would be to appear on both reality shows.

'The Hills': Are Justin Bobby and Audrina done for good?

Audrina I'm still in a little bit of shock after watching Justin Bobby trample over Audrina's heart during tonight's episode of "The Hills."

I could tell from the instant Audrina sat down with Justin for dinner that things weren't going to go well.

"Did you get another ear piercing?" Justin asked, feigning interest in her appearance. "Rock and roll, baby."

Ugh, "baby." Immediately reeling her back in. Of course, Audrina -- constantly wearing her heart on her sleeve -- quickly opened up and told Justin she felt they could work things out. She'd even admitted to Lo earlier in the episode that despite it all, there was "still something there" between them.

"I don't know, kiddo," he replied, sucking in his breath.

The comment set Audrina off, and she tried to rub the fact that Kristin was back together with Brody in JB's face. Bad move. Justin clearly then just wanted to say anything to hurt Audrina. Cue this zinger:

"Kristin did something different to me than me and you had done," he said. "We went somewhere I haven't really gone with somebody, and I really didn't want to think about the consequences. I just did it."

'The Hills': Once a homeboy with combat boots, now a heartthrob

Justin_0685 During this season of "The Hills," I've often wondered if,  somewhere out there, Lauren Conrad is kicking up her heels, watching the drama unfold and quietly laughing to herself: "Really? All this over Justin Bobby?"

Back when Lauren still ruled "The Hills," Justin was simply one of the show's laughable characters. When she first met him, LC teased Justin Bobby endlessly over his ridiculous nickname. She constantly was telling Audrina to dump the loser. And who can forget the classic line she spewed, rolling her eyes at Justin over his wardrobe choice at one Malibu party: "Homeboy wears combat boots to the beach."

Since then, Justin Bobby has somehow emerged as the show's heartthrob. Not only has Audrina remained in love with him for nearly five years, but he's also succeeded in playing mind games with the coldhearted Kristin.

'The Hills': Brody, Justin Bobby may be losing their 'boos'

090826_MPTurin_TheHills_0768 Ah, Brody Jenner.

He has so much going for him. Of course, he's good-looking: tan, square-jawed, muscular. Unlike Justin Bobby, he's able to grow just the right amount of scruff. He can even get away with having a cliche tattoo of his own initial branded in gothic font on his wrist.

And yet, he continues to engage in an incredibly masochistic relationship with the infamous Jayde Nicole.

As I watched the couple fight yet again on this week's episode of "The Hills," I was truly baffled by all of the ridiculous stuff Brody put up with.

Let's recap:

First, while at lunch, Brody suggested they attend an upcoming party Kristin was hosting. Unable to hide her seething jealousy, Jayde instantly nixed the plan. Brody pretended to shoot himself in the head and said he was going anyway.

'The Hills': Some girls fall prey to alcohol, others to Justin Bobby

090319_MTurin_TheHills_1182 Not a great week to be Stephanie Pratt.

Just when she thought her public struggles with substance abuse had ended, headlines broke over the weekend that she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after leaving Holly Montag's birthday party. In a case of unfortunate timing, this week's episode of "The Hills" prominently shined a light on alcoholism as Stephanie questioned Holly's penchant for partying. It was uncomfortable to watch Stephanie trying to goad Heidi into approaching her sister about what she believed to be a serious alcohol problem. Stephanie's concern seemed genuine in light of her infamous run-ins with the law and rehab stints.

I have to say, I was surprised at how well Spencer handled the situation -- and how genuinely sympathetic he seemed to be towards his new sister-in-law.

"I'm right there with you," he told Holly in an effort to relate to her struggles. "I saw a long-haired Spencer Pratt with better dance moves."

And what dance moves they were. Holly -- in her first appearance of the season -- did look like quite a mess at Brent Bolthouse's photography exhibition, where she busted some interesting "Napoleon Dynamite"-esque dance moves.

"Our new sister-in-law has had 200 drinks tonight," Spencer said as he eyed Holly breaking it down by herself on the dance floor.

Meanwhile, Justin Bobby was also getting sentimental with ex-"girlfriend" Audrina, whom he met atop a fancy Los Angeles hotel with a glittering view of the city. Though clearly forced together by the show's producers, the pair still seem to have feelings for each other. It was clear that Justin Bobby's hold on Audrina is as strong as ever, despite her constant assertions that she's over him.

'The Hills': Brody needs to break up with Jayde, Justin Bobby needs tattoo removal

Kristin OK, first things first: Is Justin Bobby for real with that hideous tattoo? Just as I thought "The Hills'" resident bad boy had upgraded his looks by shaving off his dirty beard, he had to go to Kristin's Malibu beach pad and reveal some pretty ugly ink: the word "Italia" sprawled across his stomach in huge script type face.

"I wanna get two more stars on my foot," Kristin said, admiring JB's tat.

Cue Justin's best line of the evening: "What do you think you are, a galaxy?" he tossed off, rolling his eyes. The comment was a glimmer of the Justin Bobby we came to know during the Audrina era, when he openly showed disdain for the vapid, popular crowd he's since befriended. Even though he's dating the prototypical blond bombshell now, it's good to hear him still poke fun at some of Kristin's, er, less brilliant remarks.

But Justin's sarcastic remark was only the beginning of a rough episode for our heroine, who this week was later stood up by JB at Brody's surprise birthday party, where she had a water balloon accidentally tossed at her face pretty aggressively by Frankie.

Her biggest concern after being decked?

"I'm just worried half my hair is gonna get curly now," she complained to friends. Oh, the horror.

'The Hills': Justin Bobby and Kristin swap spit, but Enzo steals the show

Justin Bobby and Kristin Cavallari's over-hyped lip-lock was meant to be the focus of this week's episode of "The Hills," but alas, a new star has emerged: Enzo. 1281

The chubby nephew of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's neighbors stole the show, cartwheeling through Speidi's new lawn and accidentally calling Spencer "Spender." Where'd they find this kid?

Even some of the cast members agree with me about Enzo's star quality.

"just watched the episode!!.... enzo is adorable! new star of the show:) hehe what did you guys think?" Audrina Patridge wrote on her Twitter account Tuesday evening.

"New character Enzo ups the show so much! Maybe even better than last weeks episode??!!! Soooo good!!" Stephanie Pratt echoed on her page

Lauren Conrad scores movie deal for 'L.A. Candy'

Good news for those who were less than enthused about Kristin Cavallari's debut on "The Hills" last night: Lauren Conrad is making her way back to the screen.

Well, sort of. Conrad's debut novel, "L.A. Candy" is being made into a movie.

Temple Hill Entertainment has acquired the screen rights to the book, and Conrad herself will serve as executive producer, Variety reports.

The novel, which has been on the New York Times' bestseller lists for 14 weeks, seems to mimic Conrad's own experience in L.A.: A 19-year old girl moves to Hollywood, becomes the star of a reality series and subsequently has to learn how to deal with the flash of the paparazzi's bulbs.

Conrad is slated to write two more books for the series.

"Lauren, who became an icon in that reality-show world, came to us with a structure of how to tell the story in an interesting fashion that was separate and apart from the book," Temple Hill's Mary Bowen said. "We loved her take. Her book is an honest portrayal of what it must be like to set out to be normal, then sign on to become famous and eventually realize: wow, this isn't at all what I'd planned for myself."

Hmm ... sounds familiar. What do you think? Will the movie show us the behind-the-scenes juice we never got to see during Conrad's stint on "The Hills," or will it just be more of the same of what we got on MTV?
