NASA RESCHEDULES

Howard’s (Simon Helberg) mission, which scuttles plans for his and Bernadette’s (Melissa Rauch) wedding on a new episode of “The Big Bang Theory” at 8 p.m. on CBS.

SERIES

Community: The death of a classmate has Britta (Gillian Jacobs) calling on what she’s learned in her psychology class to play grief counselor for the study group in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

The Vampire Diaries: Klaus (Joseph Morgan) faces opposition from an unlikely source as he tries to leave town with Elena (Nina Dobrev), who remains determined to protect Caroline (Candice Accola), while Damon and Stefan (Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley) ask Tyler (Michael Trevino) for help in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).

American Idol: This results episode features performances by Carrie Underwood and Coldplay (8 p.m. Fox).

Person of Interest: Finch (Michael Emerson) gives Reese (Jim Caviezel) the day off when he realizes that the Machine’s latest number could bring back some painful memories for him. Taraji P. Henson also stars in this new episode (9 p.m. CBS).

The Office: After a drunken Robert (James Spader) shuts down a nearby branch, Jim and Dwight (John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson) team up to outsmart a salesman. Ed Helms, Jenna Fischer, B.J. Novak and Angela Kinsey also star in this new episode (9 p.m. NBC).

The Secret Circle: On prom night, Adam (Thomas Dekker) uncloaks a crystal that’s hidden in the school, and Blackwell (Joe Lando) urges Cassie (Britt Robertson) to locate it with her dark magic in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA).

The Mentalist: The murder of a surfer brings Lisbon (Robin Tunney) back into the orbit of her former fiancé (Greg Tayback), whom she hasn’t seen in 10 years, and Cho (Tim Kang) is having second thoughts about getting into a relationship with Summer (Samaire Armstrong). Simon Baker and Amanda Righetti also star in this new episode (10 p.m. CBS).
