The Dirty Dozen: Lee Marvin stars in this 1967 World War II movie as a U.S. Army major assigned the task of selecting and training 12 hardened criminals for a suicidal mission in Germany. Directed by Robert Aldrich, this film also stars Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Telly Savalas, John Cassavetes and Jim Brown (8 p.m. AMC).
Under African Skies: To commemorate the 25th anniversary of his landmark album “Graceland,” Paul Simon revisited South Africa, a land that was under a cultural boycott at the time for its apartheid policies, where he recruited musicians to play with him. He reconnects and performs with them and examines the album’s important legacy. Joe Berlinger directs (10 p.m. A&E).
