 This 2011 adaptation of Sara Gruen’s bestseller stars Robert Pattinson as a Depression-era veterinary student who goes AWOL after his parents die and hooks up with a traveling circus. Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz also star (8 p.m. HBO).

The Wife He Met Online:
A shocking surprise awaits a man who marries a seemingly perfect woman in this new TV movies starring Cameron Mathison and Barbara Niven (8 p.m. Lifetime).
