Love Me or Leave Me:
Doris Day shines in this film based on the life and career of singer Ruth Etting, who rose from chorus dancer to Hollywood star. James Cagney, who received an Oscar nomination as best actor, stars as her first husband. Songs include “Ten Cents a Dance,” “You Made Me Love You,” “My Blue Heaven” and the title tune (5 p.m. TCM).The Shining: Jack Nicholson delivers a terrifying performance as a recovering alcoholic who accepts a job as the winter caretaker of a deceptively serene hotel in the mountains.
