Live From Lincoln Center:
Soprano Renée Fleming’s performance features “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” and songs from “Dark Hope.” With Josh Groban (10 p.m. KOCE).

Magic City:
Set in the glamorous backdrop of 1950s Miami Beach, this new drama follows Ike Evans (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as he rings in the new year at his luxurious Miramar Playa Hotel. Olga Kurylenko and Danny Huston also star (10 p.m. Starz).

MOVIES

Love Me or Leave Me:

Doris Day shines in this film based on the life and career of singer Ruth Etting, who rose from chorus dancer to Hollywood star. James Cagney, who received an Oscar nomination as best actor, stars as her first husband. Songs include “Ten Cents a Dance,” “You Made Me Love You,” “My Blue Heaven” and the title tune (5 p.m. TCM).

The Shining:
Jack Nicholson delivers a terrifying performance as a recovering alcoholic who accepts a job as the winter caretaker of a deceptively serene hotel in the mountains. With Shelley Duvall and Scatman Crothers. (6 and 9 p.m. BBC America).
