The normal playbook for singers eliminated from ‘American Idol’ goes like this: Make the media rounds, say some nice things about the other contestants, express mild frustration but ultimate respect to the judges and, above all, never ever disrespect the show.

Heejun Han has thrown out the playbook.

The frequently jokey Korean American singer was eliminated Thursday after singing Leon Russell’s ‘A Song for You.’ Rather than go quietly and blandly into the night, Han has given an interview to TV’s ‘The Insider’ that’s giving ‘Idol’ PR people agita.

When asked who he was going to be rooting for now, a typical post-elimination question, Han responded: ‘I was rooting for Jeremy, Shannon or Erika ... but [that] didn’t happen so I’m not gonna root for any now. I’m just gonna watch ‘The Voice.’’

Promoting the dreaded NBC competitor isn’t a way to endear yourself to ‘Idol’s’ honchos, but Han didn’t stop there. Regarding his one-week ‘Idol’ mentor, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Han said Diddy was ‘kinda drunk when we were having our mentor session.’ He continued, ‘You do not wanna be drunk when you’re coming to ‘American Idol’ session, OK?’

According to ‘The Insider,’ Han was pulled aside by stern ‘Idol’ publicists for a little course correction.

On Friday morning, Han wasn’t talking about ‘Idol’ or ‘The Voice’ anymore on Twitter, but he was picking on another TV institution. ‘Singing at jay leno tonight,’ he wrote. ‘i just googled him. He looks mean...im scared...’
