CBS resurrects Edward R. Murrow’s series with Charlie Rose and Lara Logan sharing the job of interviewing entertainers, politicians and others in the public eye. Up first: George Clooney; Warren Buffett; Jon Bon Jovi (8 p.m.).

The Middle:
Mike and Frankie (Neil Flynn, Patricia Heaton) decide to do Valentine’s Day a little differently by going out to dinner with friends in this new episode (8 p.m. ABC).

American Idol:
The Hollywood Round begins with this new episode (8 p.m. Fox).

Nature:
The new episode “Raccoon Nation” follows a family of citified raccoons over six months and explores disturbing trends (8 p.m. KOCE).

Guess Who Succeeds:
This new invention series premieres with a gourmet baby food maker; waffle batter-in-a-can inventor and a tea based frozen pop maker (8 p.m. Food).

Criminal Minds:
The team heads to Atlantic City to investigate a series of casino-related murders with a ritualistic element. Dean Cain guest stars in this new episode (9 p.m. CBS).

NOVA:
The new episode “Separating Twins” documents a series of delicate operations on conjoined twin girls (9 p.m. KOCE).

Beast Tracker:
Great whites get all the press, but tiger sharks are right behind them when it comes to attacks on people. In this new episode, Dr. West is in Hawaii looking for answers about the predator (9 p.m. Discovery).

Happy Endings:
On Valentine’s Day Penny (Casey Wilson) wants to dump her new boyfriend and Dave (Zachary Knighton) fears he’s about to be dumped in this new episode (9:30 p.m. ABC).

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit:
When an aspiring actress is found drugged and sexually assaulted in Central Park, Benson and Amaro (Mariska Hargitay, Danny Pino) suspect the reality show producer (Michael McKean) she’d just auditioned for. Miranda Lambert and Harry Connick Jr. also guest star in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).

SPORTS

Pro basketball:

The Clippers visit the Cleveland Cavaliers (4 p.m. FSN).

Hockey:
The Hurricanes visit the Ducks (7 p.m. FS Prime).
