NBC moves 'The Firm' to Saturdays, gives 'Awake' premiere date

NBC is yanking "The Firm" from its Thursday 10 p.m. slot and replacing it with the new drama "Awake," starring Jason Isaacs

NBC is pulling its hourlong thriller "The Firm" from its Thursday 10 p.m. slot and moving it to Saturdays.

The low-rated TV sequel to the 1993 film based on the John Grisham novel hasn't officially been yanked, but the Saturday jump -- which kicks off Feb. 11 at 9 p.m. -- is one step away from the network moving it to a day that hasn't yet been created.

In its place on Thursday nights, beginning March 1, the network is scheduling a new sci-fi crime drama, 'Awake," starring Jason Isaacs as a man who moves back and forth between realities.

Once "The Firm" assumes its new home, encore episodes of "Grimm" will air Thursdays at 10 p.m. until the debut of "Awake."
