30 Rock:
Liz (Tina Fey) scrambles to do damage control after a cellphone video of Tracy (Tracy Morgan) on an offensive rant hits the Internet, and Kenneth and Jenna (Jack McBrayer, Jane Krakowski) seek Kelsey Grammer’s (guest starring as himself) help in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

American Idol:
Hopefuls perform for the judges in Pittsburgh (8 p.m. Fox).

Up All Night:
Megan Mullally guest stars here as a rival talk show host in this new episode (9:30 p.m. NBC).

The Mentalist:
Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) is haunted by flashbacks to O’Laughlin’s (Eric Winter) shooting while the rest of the team (Simon Baker. Robin Tunney, Owain Yeoman and Tim Kang) investigates the killing of the son of a mob boss (10 p.m. CBS).

Beyond Scared Straight:
In the season finale a Virginia lockup opens its doors to six at-risk teenagers(10 p.m. A&E).

Archer:
The animated action comedy returns for a new season (10 p.m. FX).

Unsupervised:
Justin Long, Kristen Bell provide their voices in this new animated comedy (10:30 p.m. FX).
