stars in the season premiere of the supernatural series “Being Human” at 9 p.m. on Syfy.


Tom Reed’s For Members Only:  This new episode looks at the founding of Los Angeles in 1781, and the Native Americans and people of African and Spanish descent who helped define the city (11 a.m. KSCI).

The Revolution:
 This new lifestyle series encourages viewers to make changes in their lives for the better, with health advice from Dr. Jennifer Ashton, fitness tips from Harley Pasternak and relationship expertise from Dr. Tiffanie Davis. Ty Pennington and Tim Gunn also contribute (1 p.m. ABC).

Gossip Girl:
Blair (Leighton Meester) tells Serena (Blake Lively) what really happened after the car accident that indicates foul play in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).

J.J. Abrams is behind this new thriller series that kicks off with a two-hour premiere tonight before moving into its regular time slot an hour later next Monday. Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia and Sam Neill star as a unique team investigating the reappearance of Alcatraz’s most notorious prisoners, 50 years after they vanished (8 p.m. Fox).

The Layover:
In this new episode, Tony is in London, where he visits his favorite pub (9 p.m. Travel).

Betty White’s Off Their Rockers:
 In this new series, senior citizens pull pranks on younger people (9:30 p.m. NBC).

Lost Girl:
 This Canadian import stars Anna Silk as a supernatural seductress who feeds off sexual energy (10 p.m. Syfy).


Republican Presidential Debate:
 From Myrtle Beach, S.C. (6 and 9 p.m. Fox News Channel).

Betty White’s 90th Birthday: A Tribute to America’s Golden Girl:
 This new special is a star-studded tribute to the veteran actress who’s been enjoying a career resurgence. Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Valerie Bertinelli are on hand, along with Mary Tyler Moore, Ed Asner, Valerie Harper and Gavin MacLeod from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” (8 p.m. NBC).


Pro basketball:
The New Jersey Nets visit the Clippers (12:30 p.m. FS Prime); the Mavericks visit the Lakers (7:30 p.m. TNT).

College basketball:
Louisville at Marquette (12:30 p.m. ESPN); Texas A&M at Missouri (2:30 p.m. ESPN); Pittsburgh at Syracuse (4:30 p.m. ESPN); Baylor at Kansas (6:30 p.m. ESPN).
