The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
finds himself in even deeper trouble on the season premiere of the comedy series “The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret” at 10:30 p.m. on IFC.


Chuck: Chuck and Sarah (Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski) plot their next move on a new episode of the action comedy (8 p.m. NBC).

Nikita: Nikita (Maggie Q) and her former protege Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) cross paths on a new episode of the action drama (8 p.m. KTLA).

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition:
The team comes to the aid of a legally blind Iowa widow and her six children on back-to-back new episodes (8 and 9 p.m. ABC).

Great Performances:
The Los Angeles Philharmonic’s opening-night gala features the music of George Gershwin, with special guest Herbie Hancock (9 p.m. KOCE).

Carrie Brownstein and “Saturday Night Live’s” Fred Armisen spoof the denizens of Portland, Ore., as this satirical series returns for its sophomore season (10 p.m. IFC).

This fantasy series set in the Arthurian Age returns with new episodes (10 p.m. Syfy).


Fortune Finders:
Las Vegas investigators, tasked with delivering valuable items of the recently deceased to their next of kin, are featured in this new special (10 p.m. National Geographic).


Blue Valentine:
 Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams share a rocky relationship in this 2010 drama (9 p.m. Showtime).

Little Darlings:  
Tatum O’Neal and Kristy McNichol star in this 1980 comedy (11 p.m. TCM).


College football:
Arkansas and Kansas State go head-to-head in the Cotton Bowl from Arlington, Texas (5 p.m. Fox).

Basketball: The Chicago Bulls meet the Orlando Magic (5 p.m. ESPN), the Portland Trail Blazers play the Phoenix Suns (7:30 p.m. ESPN) and Lakers welcome the Golden State Warriors (7:30 p.m. FSN).

Hockey: The Ducks play host to the New York Islanders (7 p.m. FS Prime).
