Chuck: On a mission to Japan, Chuck and Sarah (Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski) are caught in a hostage situation aboard a speeding bullet train in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

Shark Tank: A third season of the unscripted invention series opens with NBA champion Bill Walton helping a triathlete pitch an idea for a unique water bottle and two women from Minnesota pitching an online business that helps people plan their own funerals (8 p.m. ABC).

Need to Know: This new episode visits South Carolina on the eve of that state’s presidential primary (8:30 p.m. KOCE).

Grimm: A homicide investigation leads Nick (David Giuntoli) to a mild-mannered fellow whose troubled childhood memories may be bringing out his inner monster. Silas Weir Mitchell, Russell Hornsby and Bitsie Tulloch also star in this new episode (9 p.m. NBC).

Primetime: What Would You Do? John Quinones hosts this hidden camera series that shows people mistreating people, but focuses on those who see the mistreatment (9 p.m. ABC).

Great Performances at the Met: Anna Netrebko sings the part of a queen in the opera “Anna Bolena” in the season premiere (9 p.m. KOCE).

Austin City Limits: Alternative rockers Arcade Fire perform in this new episode (9 p.m. KLCS).

MOVIES

Al Capone: This 1959 profile of the racketeer who ruled the violent Chicago mob underworld in the 1920s and ’30s sticks fairly closely to the facts. Opening when Capone (Rod Steiger) arrives in the Windy City at the dawn of Prohibition to work as a bodyguard for racketeer Johnny Torrio (Nehemiah Persoff). Fay Spain, James Gregory and Martin Balsam co-star (5 p.m. TCM).

Tennis: Australian Open: Third Round (9 a.m.; 6 p.m. and midnight ESPN2).

College hockey: Michigan at Notre Dame (4:30 p.m. VS).

Pro basketball: The Lakers visit the Orlando Magic (5 p.m. KCAL and ESPN); the Minnesota Timberwolves visit the Clippers (7:30 p.m. ESPN and FS Prime).
