Thanksgiving is just a gobble, gobble away, and ‘Suburgatory’s’ resident nutty housewife, Sheila Shay (played by ‘SNL’ alum Ana Gasteyer), is planning to add some Pilgrim and nuked-potato goodness to Chatswin.

‘Thanksgiving is the great American family disaster,’ Gasteyer said recently during a break from the holiday-themed episode, which airs Wednesday night on ABC. ‘Viewers will get a nice vista on our insane Shay family. There will be some power struggles.’

And Pilgrim-inspired dresses (or lack thereof) are at the center of those struggles. We’ll leave it at that. Meanwhile, Tessa (Jane Levy) and George (Jeremy Sisto) are dining at the Royces’ Thanksgiving bonanza -- costumes (though much less homely) are also part of the affair.

‘Various families on ‘Suburgatory’ are living out their worst fantasies,’ said fellow ‘SNL’ alum Chris Parnell, who plays Sheila’s husband, Gary. ‘But Sheila is insane about her holidays, so she wants nothing to interfere with her vision.’

As for the holiday feast, Gasteyer said it wouldn’t be so far-fetched if Sheila had a couple dozen Schweddy balls at the dinner table (referring to one of Gasteyer’s classic ‘SNL’ skits).

‘I think Sheila would totally hand-make those as part of her many dessert offerings for the holidays’ Gasteyer said. ‘She’s definitely the type who would listen to ‘Delicious Dish.’ I’m sure she’s made some cheese balls in the past too. In fact, I bet she’s had other types of balls throughout her life.’
