NBC picks ups 'Grimm' for the remainder of the season

NBC has given a full-season order to its rookie fairytale-inspired cop procedural "Grimm."

"We are very pleased to be making a full-season commitment for ‘Grimm,’ ” Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “We love where it’s going creatively and we’re excited to deliver more episodes to our audience.”

The series, which airs Friday nights, kicked off its debut season Oct. 28 — against Game 7 of the World Series — and has averaged a respectable 6.9 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

And NBC will test how it fares outside its Friday time slot, airing a new episode on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 10 p.m.
