Glenn Beck outraged by 'Late Night' Michele Bachmann slam [Video]
The GOP presidential candidate was a guest on Fallon's "Late Night" show on Monday to promote her book, "Core of Conviction." She walked out to the sounds of a Fishbone song titled "Lyin' Ass Bitch."
The Roots have a history of providing musical commentary on the show's guests -- reality-TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt once walked out to Beck's (the musician) "Loser." -- but with Bachmann they may have gone too far.
The Roots' leader, Questo, tweeted about the musical dig ahead of time, writing, "aight late night walkon song devotees: you love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title."
On Tuesday, Fallon tweeted an apology, "I'm honored that @michelebachmann was on our show yesterday and I'm so sorry about the intro mess. I really hope she comes back." He also wrote, "@questlove is grounded."
Still, all the apologies in the world could not stop the conservative media from expressing their extreme displeasure.
Glenn Beck took some time out of his daily radio show to take Fallon to task and sent a warning to his radio staff. "If you do that to Michelle Obama, I fire you. She's a guest in my home," he said. Beck described Fallon and his staff as "two-faced liars." He went on, "These people in the mainstream media don't give a flying crap about anything decent."
In typical Beck style, he went on to connect Fallon with Warren Buffett and people who "will go to jail" for doing things "beyond some third-rate burglary" (Richard Nixon's Watergate).
He also called Fallon "a girl."
