‘Hell on Wheels’ cruises to high ratings in premiere

AMC’s new western drama ‘Hell on Wheels’ attracted a large audience in its Sunday premiere, becoming the second-highest series debut in the network’s history.

The series attracted 4.4-million viewers in its premiere episode, which followed ‘The Walking Dead,’ the most watched series in AMC’s history for adults 18 to 49.

‘Hell on Wheels,’ which is set in post-Civil War America circa 1865, stars Anson Mount and Common.
