The Big Bang Theory

SERIES

Community: Troy and Abed (Donald Glover, Danny Pudi) move in together and throw an apartment-warming party for the study group. Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs and Alison Brie also star in this new episode (8 p.m. NBC).

The Vampire Diaries:
Caroline (Candice Accola) tries to help Elena, Bonnie, Matt and Tyler (Nina Dobrev, Kat Graham, Zach Roerig, Michael Trevino) have an enjoyable Senior Prank Night before school starts in this new episode (8 p.m. KTLA).

Parks and Recreation:
When Ron (Nick Offerman) leads an all-boy wilderness club, Leslie (Amy Poehler) takes her own group of girls on an adventure in this new episode (8:30 p.m. NBC).

The Office:
Andy (Ed Helms) throws a garden party at Schrute Farms in an effort to impress Robert (James Spader) but feels awkward when his parents and brother (Stephen Collins, Dee Wallace, Josh Groban) show up. (9 p.m. NBC).

The Secret Circle:
Cassie (Britt Robertson) finds her loyalties divided as she struggles to keep the secrets from her grandmother (Ashley Crow) in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA).

The Mentalist:
Patrick (Simon Baker) tries to prove that the suspicious-looking armed man he saw at a political rally is a psychopath with murder on his mind in this new episode (10 p.m. CBS).

Prime Suspect:
When a handsome stockbroker is killed, Jane (Maria Bello) suspects his wife did it. Aidan Quinn and Brian F. O’Byrne also star in this new episode (10 p.m. NBC).

Bordertown: Laredo:
The city of Laredo, Texas, is at the forefront of the drug war raging along the U.S.-Mexico border, and this intense new documentary series follows a team of local police (10 and 10:30 p.m. A&E).

SPORTS

Baseball:
American League Championship Series: The Texas Rangers visit the Detroit Tigers (if necessary) (1 p.m. Fox). National League Championship Series: The Milwaukee Brewers visit the St. Louis Cardinals, Game 4 (5 p.m. TBS).

Hockey:
The Kings visit the New Jersey Devils (4 p.m. FSN).

College football:
USC visits California (6 p.m. ESPN).
