SERIES

Rising: Rebuilding Ground Zero: This new series, premiering with three episodes, documents the effort under way to reshape ground zero into an expansive 16-acre complex that will be unveiled in a special broadcast with President Obama on Sept. 11. (8, 9 and 10 p.m. Discovery).

Sweet Home Alabama: The final two men compete for Devin’s love as she makes her final decision (9 p.m. CMT).

Project Runway: The designers work with art students to create a piece of art that will serve as the inspiration for their next garment in this new episode (9 p.m. Lifetime).

Burn Notice: Michael and Fiona (Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar) go undercover as a wealthy married couple at a South American resort in an effort to expose a bioweapons specialist in this new episode (9 p.m. USA).

Beyond Scared Straight: In this new episode, one teenager talks back — loudly — to a verbally abusive inmate at the county jail and another insults a prisoner who pulls him into his cell (10 p.m. A&E).

Suits: Harvey’s (Gabriel Macht) former mentor, a district attorney, seeks his help when his office becomes the target of an investigation. Alicia Coppola and Gary Cole guest star in this new episode (10 p.m. USA).

SPECIALS

The Legend of Pancho Barnes and the Happy Bottom Riding Club: Kathy Bates provides the voice of Florence Lowe ‘Pancho’ Barnes, one of the most accomplished female pilots of the early 20th century. Tom Skerritt narrates. (7 p.m. KOCE)

Nick News With Linda Ellerbee: In this new special, the veteran journalist clears up misconceptions and answers questions about the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, for kids, many of whom weren’t born then (9 p.m. Nickelodeon).

Love’s Kitchen: A talented London chef (Dougray Scott), grief-stricken after losing his wife in a tragic automobile accident, meets an attractive American food critic (Claire Forlani) with a troubled love life. Chef Gordon Ramsay also stars in this 2011 romantic comedy (7 p.m. Showtime).
