This week, Jason Bateman has been making the late-night rounds to promote his new comedy, ‘The Change-Up.’ So far, he’s taken an unorthodox approach to publicity: On Tuesday’s episode of ‘The Daily Show,’ for instance, he told Jon Stewart that the movie is ‘garbage.’

The self-deprecating streak continued on Wednesday’s ‘Late Night.’ Jimmy Fallon remarked on the longevity of Bateman’s showbiz career and introduced a scene from the ‘80s classic, ‘Teen Wolf Too.’ In the delightfully hokey clip, Bateman’s character uses his lycanthropic powers to ... intimidate his college registrar. (Who knew being a teen wolf was so much fun, right?)

Bateman was not impressed by his performance. ‘That’s horrendous,’ he said. ‘It is about 25 years ago. I’ve honed my craft a bit, a bit since then. If I could go back in a time machine, I know I could do it better.’

Luckily, he didn’t have to: Fallon gave him the chance to re-do the scene on the spot. Fallon, wearing a ridiculous wig and glasses, played the registrar, while Bateman reprised his role as a teenage werewolf, sherling denim jacket and all. It wasn’t exactly a shot-for-shot remake, but the ‘Late Night’ interpretation may just have been an improvement on the original. See for yourself below.

So what are the chances Bateman will appear on ‘Late Night’ in 25 years to re-create this destined-to-be-classic scene?
