Et-benefits1 SETTLING: In the new sitcom “Friends With Benefits” the friends (Ryan Hansen, Danneel Ackles) are both looking for their soul mates at 8 and 8:30 p.m. on NBC.

Iron Chef America:
In the season finale, two chefs walk into Kitchen Stadium for one last challenge (6 p.m. Food). 
Platinum Hit: The final three songwriters must write the song of their lives (8 p.m. Bravo). 

Whale Wars:
The Sea Shepherds finally spot their quarry: the Japanese whalers' 8,000-ton factory ship, in this new episode (9 p.m. Animal Planet). 

Heat Seekers: This new episode visits Santa Fe for sopaipillas smothered in chiles, chili chocolate elixir drinks and pulled pork soaked in chipotle barbecue sauce (10 p.m. Food). 

SPECIALS

Pauly Shore's Vegas Is My Oyster:
The comedian presents an eclectic lineup of performers that includes Maz Jobrani, Andy Dick, Charlyne Yi, Faizon Love and Carrot Top in this new special (10 p.m. Showtime). 

MOVIES

Phineas and Ferb: The Movie:
Across the 2nd Dimension: Along with their pet platypus, stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb (voiced by Vincent Martella and Dee Bradley Baker) battle evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz (8 p.m. Disney). 

Body Heat: This steamy 1981 melodrama casts William Hurt as small-time Florida lawyer Ned Racine who conspires with a beautiful and greedy femme fatale (Kathleen Turner, in her big-screen debut) in a murder scheme (9 p.m. Cinemax). 

SPORTS

Baseball: The Cincinnati Reds visit the Chicago Cubs (11 a.m. WGN A); regional Coverage (4 p.m. MLB); the Dodgers visit the Arizona Diamondbacks (6:30 p.m. FS Prime); the Seattle Mariners visit the Angels (7 p.m. FSN).

Tennis: U.S. Open Series: Legg Mason Classic, Quarterfinals (2 p.m. ESPN2); U.S. Open Series: Mercury Insurance Open, Quarterfinal (8 p.m. ESPN2). 

Boxing: Tim Coleman vs. Vernon Paris (6 p.m. ESPN2).
