This week’s TV Movies

SUNDAY

Rufus Sewell is “Zen.” That’s not a description of his spiritual state but rather a nickname for Aurelio Zeno, the Italian police detective he plays in this new series of thrillers on “Masterpiece Mystery!” (KOCE, 9 p.m.)

Of meth and men: Emmy winner Bryan Cranston is back in business as the cancer-stricken high school chemistry teacher who knows what’s “cooking” when the dark, drug-themed drama “Breaking Bad” returns for a fourth season. (AMC, 10 p.m.)

MONDAY

Perhaps the greatest feat a certain boy wizard ever performed was turning his creator from welfare mom into bestselling novelist. That tale is told in the new biopic “Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story.” Poppy Montgomery stars. (Lifetime, 8 p.m.)

TUESDAY

You might remember Lisa Kudrow (above) from a little show called “The Comeback” – or perhaps that other one about the six friends living in NYC, the title of which escapes us. The comic actress now dispenses “Web Therapy” in this new series. (Showtime, 11 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

The golden voice of Robert Plant, the satanic six-string of Jimmy Page, the boulder-sized beats of John Bonham and the deep-end bass of John Paul Jones: Sounds like the arena-sized rock-doc “Led Zeppelin: Dazed and Confused.” (7, 8 and 11 p.m. Biography)

THURSDAY

Quincy Jones is a musician, composer, producer, arranger, executive, entrepreneur, media mogul and, by all accounts, one very cool cat. The man behind some of Michael Jackson’s biggest hits is profiled on a new “CNBC Titans.” (6, 7, 9 and 10 p.m. CNBC)

FRIDAY

A long time ago… in a toy store far, far away… “LEGO Star Wars.” The makers of the popular construction sets for kids have teamed up with the creative types over at Lucasfilm to bring you this Force-ful new computer-animated special. (Cartoon, 7 p.m.)

SATURDAY

You don’t need to see his passport: George Clooney (left) is “The American,” a shady but sexy-as-always character lying low in a quaint Italian village, in director Anton Corbijn’s stylish 2010 thriller. (Cinemax, 10 p.m.)
