Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution: In the season finale Jamie puts together a cooking competition for high-school students, and a meeting with the school district's incoming superintendent sparks hope (9 p.m. ABC). 

Whale Wars: Skipper Cornelissen and the crew of the Bob Barker carry out a daring plan that involves the small boats hiding behind an iceberg and putting a GPS device on the harpoon ship (9 p.m. Animal Planet). 

Paranormal Challenge: In this new episode, two teams of paranormal investigators compete in hunting angry ghosts in the oldest standing prison in America (9 p.m. Travel). 

My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding: The new episode “Bride & Prejudice” explores the discrimination that Gypsies and Travellers in Britain face (10 p.m. TLC). 

Young Broke and Beautiful: This new series visits cities around the country, exploring oddball subcultures and experiences (11 p.m. IFC). 

MOVIES 

Avatar: Writer-director James Cameron's Oscar-winning, visually dazzling saga tells the story of a paraplegic Marine (Sam Worthington) who is brought to a planet called Pandora, where his scientifically engineered alter ego, or “avatar,” is enlisted to help mine the planet for resources needed on Earth (8:15 p.m. Cinemax).

Wimbledon: Early rounds (Noon ESPN2; 4 a.m. Saturday ESPN2).
