Conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart hijacks Rep. Anthony Weiner's news conference
Rep. Anthony Weiner may have admitted Monday to sending a racy photo to a woman over Twitter, and other photos to other women, but that (non)shocker came after conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart took the reins during the news conference called by Weiner to address the photos.
“I want to hear the truth,” Breitbart says in the video, adding, “Quite frankly, I’d like an apology for him being complicit in a ‘blame the messager' strategy.”
Weiner had scheduled his conference in New York at 4 p.m. But the person who appeared was not the man at the center of the controversy. Instead, Breitbart took the stage and fielded questions for about 10 minutes before leaving the podium.
On Monday, Breitbart published new photos of Weiner on the website BigGovernment.com, alleging they had been sent to a woman from a Yahoo! email address that the woman claims is an alternate alias for Weiner.
Breitbart told Fox News he took the stage because the press had asked him to speak.
