MythBusters: Adam and Jamie try to determine whether it’s possible to make a car do the tricks they do in the movies: Can guns mounted on the hood of a car fire accurately enough to hit a target, and is it possible to shred another vehicle’s tires with a hub-mounted device (9 p.m. Discovery).

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior: The team’s quarry in this new episode is a killer who isn’t satisfied just taking people’s lives but also disfigures their faces. Forest Whitaker, Janeane Garofalo and Michael Kelly star in this new episode (10 p.m. CBS).

South Park: Potentially embarrassing personal information is made public in this new episode of the raunchy animated series (10 p.m. Comedy Central).

Nanny McPhee Returns: The literally magical nanny (Emma Thompson) is summoned to help a woman (Maggie Gyllenhaal) tend to her children while her husband is away on military duty. Maggie Smith, Ralph Fiennes and Rhys Ifans also star in this 2010 treat (6 p.m. HBO).
