Smallville: Clark and Lois (Tom Welling, Erica Durance) seek his father Jor-El’s blessing on a new episode of the young-Superman drama (8 p.m. KTLA). 

Kitchen Nightmares: Chef Gordon Ramsay tries to improve the fortunes of a struggling Italian restaurant in Eagle Rock in this new episode (8 p.m. Fox). 

A.N.T. Farm:  A high school program for gifted and talented youngsters is the setting for this new kid-friendly live-action series (8:40 p.m. Disney). 

CSI: NY: Mac (Gary Sinise) and his former partner (guest star Peter Fonda) find themselves involved in a vendetta after gunfire erupts in the crime lab on a new episode of the police procedural (9 p.m. CBS). 

Supernatural: Castiel (Misha Collins) shares his account of the ongoing war in heaven in this new episode (9 p.m. KTLA). 

Fringe: This mind-bendlingly awesome sci-fi drama starring Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble ends its third season (9 p.m. Fox). 

Outrageous Food: A 6-pound burrito and a 22-ounce chicken fried steak are among the heaping helpings dished up in this new episode (10 p.m. Food). 


A Boy and His Dog: Don Johnson (“Miami Vice,” “Nash Bridges”) stars in this apocalyptic 1975 fable (7 p.m. TMC). 


 Baseball: The Reds play the Cubs (11 a.m. WGN America); the Dodgers meet the Mets (4 p.m. FS Prime); regional coverage (4 p.m. MLB); and the Angels host the Indians (7 p.m. FSN).

Basketball: The NBA playoffs continue as the Bulls battle the Hawks (4 p.m. ESPN) and the Lakers face the Mavericks (6:30 p.m. ESPN). 

Hockey: In NHL playoff action, the Sharks take on the Detroit Red Wings (4 p.m. VS) and the Flyers challenge the Bruins (6:30 p.m. VS).
