Fall TV season: Watch a sneak preview of ABC's 'Once Upon a Time' from 'Lost' producers [Video]
ABC unveiled its fall schedule Tuesday at its upfronts presentation in New York, announcing a fantastical drama, "Once Upon a Time," from a pair of "Lost" executive producers.
The series, set for a fall premiere in the former "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" Sunday night time period, brings fairy tale characters Snow White, Prince Charming, the Evil Queen, Rumpelstiltskin and Jiminy Cricket to prime-time TV (not in animated form, but as real actors).
"Once Upon a Time" weaves those beloved figures into a story about a 28-year-old bail bonds collector, Emma Swan, who's reunited with the child she gave up as a teenager. The now-10-year-old boy lives in a New England town called Storybrooke where Prince Charming and the others have temporary amnesia and don't remember their secret fairy tale identities. The child believes Emma's from an alternate world and will have to fight in an epic battle between good and evil. (No, we don't get it either, but there's likely a "happily ever after" in here somewhere.)
Ginnifer Goodwin ("Big Love"), Jennifer Morrison ("House") and Robert Carlyle ("Trainspotting") are part of the ensemble cast; Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are writers/executive producers.
