Fall TV season: Watch sneak previews of ABC's 'Man Up' and 'Last Man Standing' with Tim Allen [Video]
ABC unveiled its fall schedule Tuesday at its upfronts presentation in New York, announcing a couple of male-centric comedies, "Last Man Standing," and "Man Up." The network is trying to balance out a schedule that's been heavily weighted toward female-skewing programming.
Bringing sitcom veteran Tim Allen back to ABC, "Last Man Standing" follows his character -- outdoorsy, pickup-truck-driving "manly man" Mike Baxter -- as he gets knuckled under by his wife and three daughters. The show also stars Nancy Travis and Hector Elizondo. Jack Burditt ("30 Rock") wrote the comedy.
"Man Up," the Tuesday 8-9 p.m. companion to "Last Man Standing" centers on three young modern men who wonder how they got so touchy-feely. They try to locate their inner tough guys while still smelling like Axe and drinking fancy coffee.
Stars include: Christopher Moynihan, also the writer/executive producer, Mather Zickel ("The Cape"), Dan Folger ("Balls of Fury") and Teri Polo ("Meet the Fockers").
