My Ghost Story: The supernatural series returns with new unbelievable tales (7 p.m. Biography).

Challenge: The new “Last Cake Standing” competition pits six pastry chefs against one another until only one is left. In the premiere the contestants are given eight hours to tell a story about themselves in cake (7 p.m. Food).

Nickelodeon’s 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards: Jack Black hosts this new special in which young viewers pick their favorites in film, television, music, sports, books and video games (8 and 10 p.m. Nickelodeon).

The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner: A British youth (Tom Courtenay) becomes the star of his reform school’s cross-country team in Allan Sillitoe’s screen adaptation of his own short story. Michael Redgrave and Avis Bunnage also star in this 1962 drama directed by Tony Richardson (5 p.m. TCM).

Eat Pray Love: Julia Roberts stars in director Ryan Murphy’s version of Elizabeth Gilbert’s autobiographical bestseller about a woman on an odyssey of self-discovery (9 p.m. Starz).

SPORTS

Baseball: The Angels visit the Kansas City Royals (10 a.m. FSN); the San Francisco Giants visit the Dodgers (1 p.m. Fox).
